First impressions count!  Although today's fast-paced casual atmosphere may indicate that suits or professional attire are no longer required, they are necessary for a job interview.  Your potential employer is watching to see if you can be trusted to dress properly for important meetings.

Good Impressions

bulletBe prompt, or even better, be early.
bulletTreat every person you encounter with respect.
bulletEnsure that your extra copy of resume and reference page is neat, clean, and error-free.
bulletBe enthusiastic.
bulletMake and maintain eye contact.
bulletSpeak clearly and concisely--don't ramble.
bulletBe yourself.
bulletUpon leaving, always thank the interviewer for his or her time.

Typical Interview Questions

bulletTell me a little about yourself.
bulletWhy do you want this job?
bulletHow did you hear about our company?  What do you know about us?
bulletHow can you help our company meet our goals?
bulletWhat are your strengths? Weaknesses?
bulletDo you work well under pressure or fast-paced environment?
bulletWhat are your career goals?
bulletWhat will your past employers say about you?
bulletWhat is your opinion of your last employer?
bulletWhat type of salary are you expecting?
bulletWhat past projects or accomplishments are you most proud of?
bulletWhat is your personal situation?
bulletHow would you describe your personality?

Be prepared for your interview.  Practice the interview questions with someone who can give you good feedback.  It's easy to think of the answers in your head, but more difficult to speak the words that sound proper and professional.
